Adventuring

Tomorrow I am going to London for a conference. Often when I am in London, I am meeting up with someone who is visiting from overseas. For them, it is an adventure. London is so filled with history, different neighborhoods and cultures. Even for locals, there is always something new. Being there with visitors makes it more of an adventure for me.

So I have a choice. I can either make it boring, just get through the day, listen to the presentations, and meet some new people or I can expect something amazing, something wonderful, and make it an adventure.

With art, you have a chance to be the “visitor” for other people. You can provide a new perspective. You can bring them on your adventure and make people see things that they would otherwise just walk right past.
